Marking the junction of the Bay of Fundy and the Minas Channel, Cape d'Or, or Cape of Gold, was originally established as a foghorn station in 1875.  The first lighthouse was constructed on the site in 1922 with today's structure being built in 1960.  Although the lighthouse now serves as a guesthouse and tearoom, views from this location are nothing short of breathtaking.  If interested, spend a little time hiking and birdwatching in this area.
