Fundy Foursome Courses:

1. Amherst Golf Club.  First conceived in 1909, the Amherst Golf Club has a long maintained a reputation for "tight and tough" golf. Beginning as a Centennial project, the Amherst Golf Club was redesigned and expanded from a 9-hole course to a 18-hole course with a new clubhouse in 1971. An open course in a pastoral setting, interesting holes include the "Eye-Opener" (Hole #1), "Cat Tails" (Hole #15) and "Home-Coming" (Hole #18) - an unforgettable finishing hole. The Amherst Golf Club has done a wonderful job at combining natural Maritime scenes, such as the Tantramar Marshes, with high quality golf and outstanding service.

2. The Fairmont Algonquin Golf Course.  In historic St. Andrews by-the-Sea discover The Fairmont Algonquin Golf Course & Academy where golfer’s have been testing their skills since 1894. Redesigned in 2000 by celebrated architect Thomas McBroom, this 18-hole course delights and challenges golfers of all levels.

Views from this course, mostly oceanfront, can be described as nothing short of astounding. The course’s signature hole, Hole 12, is the former site of an international ferry crossing between Maine and New Brunswick and Hole 11 overlooks St. Croix Island, one of the earliest European settlements. Receiving a 4.5-Star rating from Golf Digest, the highest rated course in the Province of New Brunswick, The Fairmont Algonquin Golf Course was ranked 31st on SCOREGolf Magazine's "Canada's Top 100 Courses - 2004" - one of the top two Canadian Fairmont courses.

3. Herring Cove Provincial Park Golf Course.  On beautiful Campobello Island, an island once enjoyed by Roosevelt family, discover the Herring Cove Provincial Golf Course. A great 9-hole layout designed by Geoffrey Cornish, this course features challenging holes and incredible views of the Bay of Fundy.

4. Kingswood Golf.  Eastern Canada's premier golf destination, a Cooke Huxham International Design, the Lynx at Kingswood Park was the first course in New Brunswick to win Best New Canadian (Golf Digest, 2003). Tailored to the short attention span of today's golfers, the Lynx rewards all skill levels with challenging shots, diversely themed holes and an incredible landscape cut out of the rugged terrain. Find both soft and hard wood tree stands, a rock wall, dramatic elevation changes, colored bunkers and more on the Signature Course.

5. The Links at Penn Hills.  A relatively new course, opening full facilities in June 2004, The Links at Penn Hills is located 20 minutes from Truro in the Shubenacadie River Valley. Stunning vistas include lowland dykes, rolling meadows, beautiful woodlands and ever-changing backdrops provided by the rise and fall of the nearby dramatic tides.

The course itself has been designed by esteemed architect Les Furber, who kept all skill levels in mind as he worked to develop this course. Find four sets of tees, providing 5300-7100 yards, ensuring all who play enjoy their round at The Links at Penn Hills. Practice facilites on-site include chipping and putting greens and a full length driving range with four target greens.

6. The Memramcook Valley Golf Club.  The Memramcook Valley Golf Club has been described as a secret waiting to be discovered. Expect to use every club in your bag to conquer this par-72 course as the rolling terrain, fast greens and prevailing winds make for a challenging, but fair, game of golf. This golf club, on-site of the Memramcook Resort & Health Spa, is also home to the only par-3 island green in the province.

7. Mountain Golf & Country Club.  Just minutes from Truro, take in 18-holes at the Mountain Golf & Country Club. Featuring spectacular views of Colchester County, the Mountain Golf & Country Club is uniquely scenic and challenging. A par-71 course, many holes have been cut from dense forests, demanding accurate tee shots. In addition, find a fully-stocked pro shop, food and beverage services (licensed) and practice facilities to sharpen your driving, putting and chipping skills at the Mountain Golf & Country Club.

8. The Pines Resort Golf Course.  Follow this 18-hole championship course as it winds its way through an evergreen forest and over a winding brook. Set above the Bay of Fundy, the Pines Resort Golf Course was designed by the famous Canadian architect Stanley Thompson and is home to one of the toughest eighteen holes in Canada - a winding, dipping adventure. Also, the course’s Hole 2 has been ranked by golf writers across the country as one of the two most picturesque and challenging holes in Canada. Enjoy the casual elegance of this resort golf course and the smell of pines needles and ocean air as you make your way from start to finish.

9. Rockwood Park Golf Course.  Amateurs and professionals alike will enjoy a round of golf at the Rockwood Park Municipal Golf Course. Discover tree-lined fairways and natural obstacles, such as water and shrubbery, to truly test your skills. Following the 18th hole, perhaps visit the course's unique Aquatic Driving Range to sharpen your swing and improve your distance or maybe simply relax in the licensed clubhouse. The Rockwood Park Golf Course is located just minutes from the Saint John City core.

10. Royal Oaks Estate & Golf Club. Situated in Moncton, New Brunswick, the Royal Oaks Estate and Golf Club is a par 72, links style course. The magnificent landscape at Royal Oaks, comprised of large lakes and rolling dunes, is an excellent stage for an invigorating game of golf.

Designed by Rees Jones, the course offers its players bent grass fairways, tees and greens, strategically placed bunkers, challenging approaches and first-rate greens. First opening in July 2000, Royal Oaks was named Best New Course in Eastern Canada and was ranked sixth for Best Value in All of Canada by Score Magazine in 2002.

11. Sussex Golf & Curling Club.  Designed for golfers of all skill levels, the Sussex Golf & Curling Club has been rated as one of the top five courses in the New Brunswick. This course, featuring two of the toughest finishing holes in the province, offers golfers the chance to use each club in their bag and is a genuine challenge to the low handicap golfer. Following a round, take advantage of the club's excellent practice facilities or relax in comfort in the licensed lounge.

"We did have a great time and your planning was excellent.  I have no hesitation referring to you if my colleagues request a vacation service for eastern Canada.  Once again, thanks."  - Dr. Joel Andersen, Sudbury ON - Itinerary Planning Service July 2003
