Herring Carrier

BAY OF FUNDY A herring carrier rides low in the water with a load of fish as she passes Pettes Cove, sailing for Blacks Harbour. Her graceful lines, whitewashed hull, deck and wheelhouse are a constant presence and pleasing site in the waters around Grand Manan, hauling herring from weirs and purse seiners throughout the lower Bay of Fundy region to processing plants at Blacks Harbour and Seal Cove. The carriers have earned their reputation as efficient and reliable fish transport.

"I wanted to let you know we had a fabulous time.  And you were a large part of that experience.  Thank you very much... The people were friendly, the sights were magnificent, the Bay of Fundy was incredible...  We wouldn't have seen all the things we did without your help." - Dave & Lynn Kearney, Plano TX - Itinerary Planning Service July 2004
